The Institute of Geologists of Ireland Geology Department, University College, Cork Geology Department, University College, Dublin Geology Department, Trinity College, Dublin | IQUA - Irish Association for Quaternary Studies IQUA was founded to promote and encourage the study of the Quaternary period in Ireland. It provides a forum for the cross-fertilistation of ideas between Quaternary scientists from many different specialisations, including archeology, botany, climatology, geology and geography. Membership is open to all who have an interest (amateur or professional) in the Quaternary. Quaternary Research Association The QRA is an organisation comprising archaeologists, botanists, civil engineers, geographers, geologists, soil scientists, zoologists and others interested in research into the problems of the Quaternary. Irish Geological Association The IGA is a nation-wide association which caters for professional, amateur and student geologists and arranges lectures on a variety of geological topics.
